We, De Dakdokters, are steadily achieving our dream of bringing nature to the city. We believe green roofs will be an important aspect of the cities of the future. Our customers choose us because we house a broad range of specialities; designers, roofers, gardeners and carpenters. We believe in craftsmanship. Or, as one of your future colleagues puts it: we produce great work! Together we have now completed more than 1000 projects in the Randstad area. Job description
We are looking for a carpenter, but we also invite students or lateral entrants to apply. As a carpenter at De Dakdokters, you make various types of roof gardens. For the most part, it concerns roof terraces, where we also realize the roof reinforcements and roof breakthroughs. We also make the equipment like planters, loungesets and pergola’s. You will work in small teams and will regularly work together with our roofers, project advisors, architects and landscapers.
Our work is located in the Randstad area, with a focus on Amsterdam.
Competencies and job requirements
You are someone who, on the one hand, has a practical approach towards realising projects and, on the other, is creative and versatile enough to be able to perform the wide range of activities required to realise our often unique projects. In addition to this, you:
- Have at least 5 years’ work experience
- Have the ambition to become a specialist in your field
- Speak Dutch and/or English fluently
And it is an advantage if you:
- Live in the Amsterdam area
- Own a driving license B(E)
- Have an affinity with greenery
What we offer
De Dakdokters has a diverse team of great people who collaborate on beautiful projects at often special locations. In addition, we consider our staff important and invest in them. We also offer adequate training, if necessary. We will provide you with a safety training (VCA) and a workplace emergency assistance course if you haven’t already taken one. It goes without saying, the position also comes with a complete Dakdokters outfit.
Since it is important to us that all colleagues stay in touch with each other, we get together with the entire team several times a year. We organise breakfast sessions, Friday afternoon drinks, summer drinks and Christmas drinks.
The salary is market-rate, depending on experience and education. In short, you will get everything you need to do your job well.

Job description
We are looking for an experienced roofer, but we also invite students or lateral entrants to apply. As a roofer at De Dakdokters, you will build roofs ranging in size from 40 to 4,000 m2. We mostly do renovation projects in which we tackle everything in one go: insulation, application of a new top layer, lead and zinc works, installation of domes and roof access points.
You will work in small teams mainly with blow-dryable EPDM sheets and bitumen. You will regularly work together with our carpenters, architects and landscapers.
Our work is located in the Randstad area, with a focus on Amsterdam.
